Hi David, thank you very much for this surprising comment. Indeed, we live in the house that was part of the rather large estate of the Seiffert. At one particular generation (it must have been in the 30s of last century) the main house was extended and used by the second family branch. We bought this smaller “half” 7 years ago from one of the granddaughters (Anna Seiffert, the widow of the late Karl Seiffert who was Charlies brother, I think).

I am an English racing journalist living in Munich and very interested in any items regarding Charly Seiffert – are yoi referring to the house where Melanie (his
grand-daughter) lived in Daglfing?

these are really cool pictures of racing horses. they seem to be much too fast to be caught with a ordinary camera. is this the place where you invited me and shafagh when she came to munich ? If I knew it is such a cool place, i should have pressed harder on her to go there.
Most of all i like the second picture before the last: it has the nice horse-shoe prints on the ground, and the tracks of the carriages. that reminds me on the movie Gladiator.
